Evening Program
- Introduction to Clingendael and Working in an International Environment
Learn about Clingendael’s mission and the realities of working in a global context, with time allotted for student questions. - Exploring Conflict Negotiations
Participate in an interactive session that delves into the complexities of conflict negotiations—what they entail and where we are headed. Students are encouraged to actively engage and share their perspectives.
Preparation for the Event
To enhance our discussions, we recommend reviewing the Preparation Document, which includes two articles on critical global conflicts, such as the war in Ukraine and the crisis in Sudan. As you prepare, consider the following questions:
- How do the underlying causes of the conflicts described in the articles (political, economic, social, or cultural factors) compare to other conflicts you are familiar with, and what possible solutions can you suggest to address these issues?
We aim to foster discussion rather than solve all problems on Tuesday night. - What are the main factors contributing to the current crisis in Sudan, and how are these factors affecting the lives of the Sudanese people? What role should the international community play in addressing this crisis?
You can access the Preparation Document here.
