Why give to GA!?

Fuel the next generation

Your gift powers student-led events, podcasts and publications that would otherwise not exist.

Keep it free

No paywalls. GA!’s output stays open and accessible to anyone, anywhere — that’s only possible with support like yours.

Trust & tax efficiency

GA! is a recognised Dutch ANBI. Gifts may be tax-deductible under Dutch rules — giving that costs you less.

What does ANBI mean?

ANBI stands for Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling — a Dutch status for foundations whose work genuinely serves the public good. At least 90% of the organisation’s efforts must benefit society.

For GA!, this means turning historical expertise into open, accessible programmes: magazines, podcasts, public debates and student-led research that anyone can follow for free.

  • No profit distribution: board members receive no profit or bonuses.
  • Transparent: policy plan and key ANBI information are published online.
  • Purpose-driven assets: all funds are reinvested in youth-led historical programming.

What your support makes possible

Make knowledge public

History as a public tool

We believe applied history informs better policy. Your support funds that mission directly.

Legal status: Dutch ANBI (public-benefit foundation) — Stichting Geschiedenis Actueel.
Purpose: youth-led historical analysis and open events connecting past and present.
Finances: non-profit, no profit distribution — all income reinvested in public-benefit programmes.
